Medical Assistant (full-time and part-time)

 

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

Job description:

Eustasis Psychiatric & Addiction Health is a same day psychiatric treatment center serving children, adults, and geriatric patients across the lifespan!

We are looking for full-time and part-time medical assistants to join our amazing team at Eustasis clinics in Springfield, MO and Rogers, AR. We are a lifespan psychiatric practice that treats patients on a same day basis for all emotional and behavioral concerns.

Our dedicated team of nursing staff assists the providers with rooming patients, staging refills, taking patient calls, performing ADHD testing, working prior authorization, labs, urine drug tests, working provider inboxes, and doing psychiatric and addiction intakes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Room patients, obtain vitals, and complete patient intakes
  • Answer nursing calls and manage clinical voicemails
  • Process medication refills and prior authorizations
  • Collect urine drug screens
  • Set up and assist with ADHD testing
  • Perform EKGs per provider orders
  • Assist providers during patient visits
  • Maintain accurate documentation in our EHR system
  • Follow HIPAA and clinical safety standards

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred or relevant experience
  • Prior clinical or medical office experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Medical Receptionist (full-time)

Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour

Job description: 

Eustasis Psychiatric & Addiction Health is a same day psychiatric treatment center serving children, adults, and geriatric patients across the lifespan!

We are looking for a full-time medical receptionist for our front desk position that includes checking patients in, verifying insurance and HIPAA forms, patient registration, processing and building charts, and scheduling follow ups. Additional duties include adding patients to its EMR system in very busy mental health and addiction clinic. This position also collects copays, deductibles, and may help with taking patients through the intake process to prepare for the provider.

Responsibilities for Medical Receptionist/Front Desk

  • Welcome patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical clinic.
  • Register patients for their appointments.
  • Scanning pertinent patient information into the HER system, including patient authorizations and recent labs delivered by patients.
  • Issue specimen collection containers to patients as needed.
  • Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions to patients when necessary.
  • Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients.
  • Verify insurance and HIPAA forms
  • Processing and building charts.
  • Collect copays and deductibles.
  • May help with taking patient through intake process to prepare for provider.

Qualifications for Medical Receptionist

  • 1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role.
  • Friendly and compassionate disposition.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT billing codes a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
